A Married Woman Claimed God Chose Me As Her Husband, Threatened To Kill My Wife – Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has shared a troubling experience he had with a married woman.

During the special Victory Hour program, Pastor Adeboye recounted how the woman visited his office years ago with her unusual claim that God had told her he was meant to be her husband.

According to him, the woman was a high-ranking official at the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and a mother.

“There was a particular woman years ago, she woke up one day and came to my office and told me, ‘God said you are my husband.’ I told her I was married and I am a pastor.

“She herself was married, a big woman working with WAEC. One of her sons is a bank manager in Ota. From her looks, she might even be older than I am,” Adeboye said.

Despite informing the authorities, including the police and her husband, the woman refused to back down.

We sent for her husband, she didn’t change. We brought the matter to the Police DPO, who asked her to stop coming to the camp. She did not change. She said, ‘You are joking.’”

Adeboye said things escalated when the woman allegedly threatened his wife. He said: “She told my wife, ‘If you don’t allow me to marry him, I w!ll kill you.’”

The situation took a strange turn when Adeboye traveled to London to work on a Sunday School manual, keeping his trip private. However, as soon as he arrived at his house, the phone rang.

He said, “Then one day, I went to London to prepare the Sunday School pamphlets. I never told anyone I was coming. I wanted to do the work quietly. As soon as I got to the house in London, the phone rang—it was in the days of landlines. When I picked the phone, she said, ‘Welcome. I have been waiting for you. You will see me soon. I’m at the next bus stop.’”

Frightened by the woman’s persistence, Adeboye warned her that he would call the police if she attempted to visit him.

““I had to threaten her that, ‘You know this is London. If you come here, I will call the police. Police here can’t be settled like the police in Nigeria,” the pastor said.

Shortly after, Adeboye said he prayed about the situation and he received news that the woman had died.

“I prayed a single prayer. I don’t know how it happened, but they brought her dead body back to Nigeria,” he said.

KanyiDaily recalls that Pastor Enoch Adeboye recently urged Nigerians to be cautious and take preventive measures against fire outbreaks.
