“God Warned Me That My Firstborn Will Die If I Leave RCCG” – Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), revealed that God warned him that his firstborn child would die if he ever left the church.

The cleric made this revelation during the June Holy Ghost Service held at midnight, themed “Destined for Greatness (Part 2),” on June 7 at Redemption City in Ogun State.

While talking about the importance of following God’s guidance and staying committed in faith, Pastor Adeboye mentioned a sermon by his son, Pastor Leke Adeboye.

He expressed concern about how many young Christians keep switching churches, always acting like newcomers in new congregations.

Pastor Adeboyo recalled that when he first became a Christian, there were three well-known churches attracting many people.

He said that when he was tempted to join one of those churches, God told him to remain with the RCCG.

“When I got born again, there were three major ministries that were making waves, and they were very good. There were different temptations to go from one to another.

“But God said to me, ‘Son, I brought you here. This is where you will stay. The day you leave this denomination, your firstborn will die’”, Adeboye said.

He noted that at that time, RCCG was not well-known and its headquarters was a small building in Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

Even though Pastor Adeboye was a university lecturer, God told him to submit to his spiritual leader, who did not have formal education.

“I was a lecturer at the university. My father in the Lord didn’t go to secondary school, not even primary. But God said this is where you will stay,” he added.

He encouraged everyone, especially young people, to find where God wants them to be and to stay faithful there.

“Discover where God wants you to stay, and stay there,” he advised.

Pastor Adeboye made it clear that he wasn’t saying RCCG is better than other churches.

“I am not saying we are better than any other denomination,” he added.

KanyiDaily recalls that Pastor Enoch Adeboye recently recounted how the woman visited his office years ago with her unusual claim that God had told her he was meant to be her husband.
