“Marrying Grandpa Doesn’t Mean You Can Disrespect Me” – Angela Okorie Slams Regina Daniels

Nollywood has once again been dragged into a messy online feud—this time it is between actresses Angela Okorie and Regina Daniels.

It all started when Angela Okorie went live on Instagram, claiming fellow actress Mercy Johnson is seriously ill.

She urged Mercy to seek forgiveness from people she might have hurt in the past.

The video didn’t sit well with many, who felt Angela was being harsh and insensitive.

Among those who called her out was Regina Daniels, who publicly slammed Angela for her comments.

In her Instagram post, Regina criticized Angela’s behavior and accused her of lacking compassion.

She said it was wrong for Angela to speak carelessly about someone’s mother—especially someone with young children who could one day see the video.

“I’m sorry and with all due respect, aunty Angela you dey m@d! Abeg no forgive because for this side, we no dey forgive. continue and whilst at it, no forget say she get pikin wey gidigba. No dey shalaye!!!” Regina said.

Angela Okorie didn’t stay quiet either. She fired back at Regina through Instagram, bringing up Regina’s past and her marriage.

She reminded Regina that she used to visit her house as a young girl and questioned her decision to marry someone much older.

“You are like a child to me… you used to come to my house with your mum… I thought you were sensible enough to marry a man of your age,” Angela wrote.

Angela accused Regina of being disrespectful and suggested her marriage to an older, wealthy man doesn’t give her the right to talk down to people.

“You feel because you married a grandpa you can talk to me? If you insult me again, I will remind you what you have forgotten,” she said.

She went further, calling Regina untrained and claiming she was too focused on money.

Angela said Regina’s behavior showed a lack of self-respect and urged young girls to focus on building themselves instead of chasing wealth.

In another post, she wrote: “Last warning @regina.daniels. I no dey see anybody wey no get respect o.”

“Dem don push small Regina to come talk for them 😂😂😂😂😂

Regina where mercy Dey those years wey you Dey come my house, while growing up, you said you wanna be like me while growing up, now you are grown, I was thinking your iq will be higher buh to no avail, babygirl you are nothing like me 🤷‍♀️ your choice for men are Not my choice of men, I don’t have long throat for money, you have long throat for money na why you marry Wealthy old man, you even be number 8 self, the way I Dey look am dem don marry extra 2 on top you, don’t worry extra 13,14 is loading Babygirl go drink cold water na 50cent you jam o, you just don’t have home training at all.”

As the drama escalated, Regina Daniels clapped back, accusing Angela of once trying to pursue her husband, Ned Nwoko.

“He is certainly not your regular old man. He is everything your kind prays for but can’t attract. Don’t get me started to tell the world how you were chasing this same old man,” she stated.

She also told Angela to stop comparing herself to her. Regina said she’s surpassed Angela in both music and acting, and doesn’t need to rely on scandals for attention.

“Age?. It’s just a number. What really counts is how you’ve lived, what you have built and who you’ve become. The roads I’ve walked, the milestones I’ve hit with grace and not disgrace are places your bitterness will ever,” she added.

Angela, however, wasn’t done. She posted a new video denying Regina’s claim that she chased Ned Nwoko.

“God forbid. I don’t do ancestors,” Angela said. “Little girl you need your head examined 🤣🤣🤣 God forbid I reject you and that your ancestor in Jesus name Amen tell MJ to come out and debunk what I said about her 🤷‍♀️”

Angela claimed that Regina once invited her to their Abuja home, where Ned asked her to consider casting Regina in one of her films.

She said everything seemed normal until suddenly, she found herself blocked.

The actress said she believes Regina badmouthed her to her husband afterward, which led to the fallout.

Angela ended her response by saying Regina needs to remember her roots and show some respect.

“Me I just think to say every young girl wey go school suppose get sense, especially a child with proper home training,” she wrote.

“I mean no disrespect to your husband, but being married to an older man doesn’t give you the right to speak to your elders however you like.”
