Voting is delayed in parts of Agboyi-Ketu during the Lagos local government elections on Saturday, as the late arrival of party agents disrupted proceedings at several polling units.

Officials from the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) arrived early at many locations, but they were forced to wait for party representatives before voting could begin.
In some areas, the delay lasted well past 9:00 AM, while at Polling Unit 002, Ward C, located at 21 Agidi Road, only four registered voters had shown up by mid-morning.
According to LASIEC officials there, only the agent from the All Progressives Congress (APC) was present as of 9:00 AM.
“We’re patiently waiting for other party agents for us to start the voting exercise,” said the presiding officer, Mrs. Stella Emmanuel.
At Polling Unit 008, Ward A, on Ajiboye Street , no party agents were on ground by that time either.
Electoral officer Mr. Adesina Akeem expressed concern that the absence of party representatives could affect the credibility and smooth conduct of the election.
At Polling Unit 028, Ward B, located on 20 Oluwakemi Street, both APC and Labour Party agents were present, but not a single voter had turned up yet.
However, some polling units saw better organization.
Party agents from both the APC and PDP were already in place at PUs 030 and 050 on Fadiya Street, as well as PU 052 on Adisa Akintoye Street, all under Ward A of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

KanyiDaily also reported how LASIEC officials were left stranded on Saturday morning due to a shortage of transport at the Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
