Moroccan-American rapper, French Montana is engaged to Dubai princess, Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, who divorced her former husband on Instagram.
The rapper’s representative confirmed the news to TMZ on Wednesday, August 27, saying the 40-year-old artist recently proposed to the 31-year-old royal.
According to the report, French Montana asked for Sheikha Mahra’s hand in June during Paris Fashion Week, just after making his runway debut at the 3.Paradis Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2026 show.
Although wedding plans are still underway, insiders revealed that both families are thrilled about the engagement.
Rumors about the pair first surfaced in October 2024, when Sheikha Mahra, daughter of Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was spotted showing the “Stay Schemin” rapper around Dubai in photos she shared online.
However, they only confirmed their romance publicly this summer when they attended multiple Paris Fashion Week events together, holding hands in front of cameras.
KanyiDaily recalls that Sheikha Mahra was previously married to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, but the marriage ended in July 2024 after she announced their separation in a fiery Instagram post.
