Nigerian streamer Peller has reacted to the criticism he’s been receiving over the cars he purchased for his girlfriend, Jarvis, and his mother.

The issue started a few days after Peller surprised Jarvis with a Mercedes-Benz reportedly worth ₦130 million for her birthday.
Earlier, the Tiktoker had bought his mother a Hyundai said to cost around ₦20 million.
Once the prices became public, many social media users began comparing the two gifts.
Some accused him of valuing his partner more than his mother, drawing mixed reactions.
Addressing the criticism in a video, Peller said people were attacking him for buying a Mercedes-Benz for his partner and a Hyundai for his mum.
He then referenced Jesus, saying that Jesus saw His mother and ignored her, yet died for the world.
“People were criticizing me because I bought a Mercedes-Benz for my baby and a Hyundai for my mum. They didn’t know that Jesus saw His mum and ignored her, and He died for the world,” he said.
The remark sparked mixed reactions online with some Nigerians questioning why he brought religion into the discussion and felt the comparison was unnecessary.
Other some supporters defended him, saying he is free to spend his money however he likes.
