In a statement shared on her X page on Friday, Onyejeocha said she was leaving office with deep appreciation.
She said, “It is with a heart full of gratitude that I announce my resignation as Honourable Minister of State for Labour and Employment.
“This decision comes with profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the opportunity to serve Nigeria in his administration.”
The former minister said her resignation marks the end of an important stage in her journey in public service, but made it clear that her dedication to the country remains strong.
“This is not an end but a new beginning. I remain committed to service, to progress, and to building the Nigeria we all deserve,” she added.
Nkeiruka Onyejeocha also praised Tinubu’s leadership, saying it was a privilege to serve under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
She went on to appreciate the leadership and staff of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment for their hard work and professionalism.
She noted that their teamwork helped push forward policies designed to defend workers’ rights, improve safety in workplaces, and create more job opportunities.
Onyejeocha also thanked the people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency for standing by her and encouraging her throughout her time in office.
Speaking to Nigerians, she expressed gratitude for the support, feedback, and meaningful engagement she received during her tenure, adding that serving the country has been one of the greatest honours of her life.
“Thank you for your support, feedback, and constructive engagement during my tenure. Serving Nigeria has been the greatest privilege of my life,” she said
The ex-minister further reiterated her commitment to national service remains unchanged, saying that while one chapter has ended, another one is just beginning.
