Ebonyi Chairman Dragged Over Borehole Project She Commissioned In Her Constituency
Hon. Ifeoma Peace Agwu, the the Chairman of Ishielu Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, has come under criticism following the commissioning of a borehole project in her council area.

The LG chairman shared a video of the event on Facebook, showing her opening the water project in the presence of community members.
During the ceremony, Agwu was seen cutting a ribbon attached to the borehole while residents gathered around to witness the event.
The borehole, however, attracted attention online because it uses a traditional hand-pump system that requires physical effort to draw water.
The chairman’s name was also inscribed on the concrete base surrounding the facility.
Following the video’s circulation on social media, many Nigerians expressed disappointment, questioning why such a basic and outdated water facility was being presented as a major constituency project.
Critics argued that public officials should focus on delivering more modern and impactful infrastructure projects, while others debated whether the borehole met the developmental needs of the community.
