I Like Trump, He’s The Best Politician I’ve Ever Met – Pastor Adeboye
Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has spoken positively about United States President Donald Trump, describing him as someone who keeps his promises.

Adeboye made the remarks during the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala organised by the Save Nigeria Group in Washington on June 23.
During his speech, the cleric thanked God for Trump and recalled concerns he had over statements suggesting the possibility of military action against Nigeria.
“Thank God for Trump,” Adeboye said.
“Last year, around November, he sent a message that he was coming to bomb Nigeria. And I felt that, again, if I did not say something, things might not go the way they should go.
“You see, there is something wonderful about bombing. The only problem with it is that no matter how accurate your bomb may be, some innocent people will suffer. And I think he meant to bomb us several times.
“So again, I had to speak in November, on the first Friday of November last year. I announced publicly that the government must do something quickly. I said to them: ‘I have never met Trump, but I have followed him, and I like him.’
“That does not mean I agree with all his ways. What I like about him is this: one, he tells the truth. He is the best politician I have ever met.
Adeboye also revealed that he shared the same opinion during a conversation with the US ambassador when the diplomat visited his home.
When asked what he thought of Trump, the pastor said he replied that he liked him because the American president carries out the promises he makes.
He said, “To be a good politician, you must be able to say two things from the same mouth. That is what makes you a professional politician”.
“And I like him (Trump) because, when he says: ‘I want to do this,’ you had better get ready. Many times, he would even have done what he was going to do before telling you.”
The RCCG leader added that he discussed the matter with President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, who is also a pastor in the church.
He said he advised President Tinubu to engage with his American counterpart and reassure him of Nigeria’s commitment to tackling terrorism.
