“God Is The Reason For My Success, Not Don Jazzy” – Wande Coal [Video]

Nigerian singer Wande Coal has credited God for his success, saying his achievements were not solely the result of his former boss, Don Jazzy.

The singer explained that while he and Don Jazzy were both talented and played important roles in their work together, he believes God was ultimately responsible for his successful career.

Speaking during an interview with Channels Television, Wande Coal said he gives all the credit to God for bringing him into the spotlight and helping him succeed.

He said, “God is the reason for my success. I give all the credits to him because he was the one who brought me out and made me successful.” 

He also addressed the common belief that Don Jazzy discovered him and was solely responsible for turning him into a star.

“Some people say it was Don Jazzy that brought me out but I feel like it was just two talented people working together to achieve success. So, it’s not by one man. It’s God,” he said.

Wande Coal was discovered by Don Jazzy and D’banj in 2006 after they watched him perform at a university event at the University of Lagos.

He was signed to their Mo’ Hits record label shortly after the meeting.

Following the split between Don Jazzy and D’banj in 2012, Wande Coal joined Don Jazzy’s newly launched Mavin Records.

However, he left the label in 2013 and later established his own music company, Black Diamond Entertainment.
