JP Battery Launches in Ghana, Strengthening Its West African Distribution Network

JP Battery, a trusted automotive battery brand manufactured by Pinaco, has officially launched in Ghana, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion across West Africa.

The launch held in Accra brought together distributors, business partners, government officials, and key stakeholders to celebrate the brand’s entry into the Ghanaian market.

Senior government officials from Ghana’s transport sector attended the event, reflecting the close collaboration between industry and public institutions in supporting the growth of the country’s automotive industry. Among those present were Merlyn Gaskin, Director of Research, Statistics and Information Management at the Ministry of Transport; Kwasi Bona Otuo-Srebour, Director of Vehicle Inspection and Registration at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA); Sarah Yankson, Planning Officer at the Ministry of Transport; Bernice Nyamtakyivaa, Manager of Registration at the DVLA; and Carl Tagoe, Manager of Compliance at the DVLA.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu, Country Representative for JP Battery Ghana, expressed confidence in the brand’s prospects in the market.

“We are confident that JP Battery will earn the trust of motorists in Ghana by delivering the quality, reliability, and performance they expect. Our focus is on building strong partnerships and ensuring customers have access to dependable automotive batteries backed by excellent service.”

Dr. Ihenetu noted that Ghana represents a key market for the company and reaffirmed JP Battery’s commitment to supporting distributors and retailers with products designed to perform under the country’s operating conditions.
