The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is currently presenting the Certificate of Return to President Muhammadu Buhari after winning the 2019 presidential election.
INEC declared President Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the 2019 presidential election, held on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
The Returning Officer for the 2019 presidential elections, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, made the declaration at 4.37am.
He polled 15,191,847 votes to defeat his closest rival, former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the presidential poll conducted on February 23 who had 11,262,978 votes.
