Petrol price in Nigeria has been increased and this goes into effect immediately.
Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC made the announcement today.

In the press statement released today, D.O Abalaka of the PPMC, stated:
“Please be informed that a new product price adjustment has been effected on our payment platform.
To this end, the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is now one hundred and fifty-one naira, fifty-six kobo (N151.56k) per litre.”
“This takes effect from September 2, 2020.”
This comes at a time when Nigerians are battling with the effects of COVID-19 and the general increase in the price of goods and services.
Meanwhile, NNPC has reportedly started the construction of N21bn infectious disease hospitals In 12 states across the country. NNPC has also reportedly digitalized its ministry with the Launch of an App for COVID-19 contacts Tracing and has also started selling petroleum products online.
