Nigerian Police Arrests ‘Pastor Onyeze Jesus’ For His Alleged Ritual Practices In Anambra

Anambra State Command of the Nigerian Police Force have arrested Pastor Onyebuchi Okocha after he was seen in a viral video spraying naira notes on naked men in a river.

The 32-year-old Pastor, popularly known as ‘Onyeze Jesus’ is the Founder of Children of Light Anointing Ministries in Nkpor, Idemili North local government area of Anambra.

Pastor Onyeze Jesus had recently made headlines after he was caught on camera spraying the Nigerian currency on naked men in an unidentified river.

The video generated massive reactions from Nigerians, and also caught the attention of the government of the Anambra state government.

According to Anambra Broadcasting Service (ANS), the pastor was arrested on Wednesday, 27 January, 2021, after he apologized to Nigerians for his alleged ritual practices.

Anambra state government through a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C. Don Adinuba on Monday, January 25, had sternly warned the Pastor against continuing his practices which they described as “criminal and indecent conduct in the name of religion”.

On Wednesday, January 27, the Ministry of Health in Anambra also warned private and public mortuaries and hospitals not to allow ‘Onyeze Jesus’ access to their facilities to carry out his practices after he claimed he could raise seven corpses from the dead on the 28th of January, 2021.

It was learnt that 32-year-old cleric from Amafor village in Nkpor and was once a bus conductor before he became a prophet.

KanyiDaily had reported that Apostle Johnson Suleman, was accused of sleeping with the wife of Pastor Mike Davids, threatening his life and denying him access to his children.
