Bandits Attack Baptist Church In Kaduna, Kill Medical Doctor, Abduct Many Worshippers

Dr. Zakariah Dogo Yaro, a medical doctor with the Kaduna State Ministry of Health, has been shot dead on Sunday morning after suspected bandits invaded a Haske Baptist Church in Chukun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

An eyewitness who survived the attack, Mr Yakubu Bala said that an unspecified number of worshippers were also abducted by the gunmen, while others sustained injuries.

According to him, the bandits wielding dangerous weapons raided the church around 9 am on Sunday morning, shooting everywhere and throwing the entire worshipers into pandemonium.

“One worshipper was gunned down. Dr Zakariah Dogo Yaro, a Medical Doctor with the Kaduna State Ministry of Health was shot dead and an unspecified number of people were kidnapped.

“Many worshipers sustained varying degrees of injuries. As am talking to you now, we have not seen some of the villagers who ran into the bush. Most of the villagers have fled to neighbouring villages,” he said..”
