Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has justified the actions of gunmen who attacked a correctional centre in Owerri, Imo State.
KanyiDaily had reported that gunmen stormed Owerri correctional centre on Monday morning, setting the prison on fire and freeing hundreds of inmates.
Reacting on his Twitter page, Nnamdi Kanu said nobody deserves to be in any Nigerian prison because killer herdsmen and Boko Haram insurgents get freed and rehabilitated.
“If Miyetti Allah terror herdsmen & other murderous #Fulani groups, including Boko Haram insurgents, can be arrested, freed and rehabilitated by this neo-colonial Fulanised @NGRPresident, then no single soul deserves to be in any prison in Nigeria. If you know you know! #UGM”
KanyiDaily had also reported how Enugu inmates staged a protest due to bad treatment by the authorities, resulting to many injuries among the prisoners.
