16-Year-Old Girl, Comfort Benjamin Raped And Strangled To Death On Her Birthday In Jos
A 16-year-old girl identified as Comfort Benjamin, who was declared missing on her birthday, has been found dead in Jos North, Plateau State.
It was gathered that Comfort was declared missing by her family members on the 22nd of May, after she was no where to be found to celebrate her birthday.
The Police were involved in the case and the family members and friends took to social media to call for help in finding the missing birthday girl.
The following day, her sister, Magdalene cried on Twitter, urging anyone with vital information about Comfort’s whereabout to reach out to her.
”Today is my little sister birthday, Comfort Benjamin. She left home yesterday and hasn’t returned .. It’s exactly 24hrs now. We have not seen nor heard from her. If you have any information at all… Please to not hesitate to reach me,” She wrote.

Later in the evening of 23rd May, the corpse of the 16-years-old was found at Nasarawa Gwong in Jos North. It was gathered that Comfort was allegedly raped, starngled to death and dumped by the roadside.
Her sisterrr, Magdalene who confirmed the development, announced that Comfort was buried immediately her corpse was found.
“Comfort’s body was found TOTALLY naked. She was shredded off every clothing she had on, she was covered in blood. Blood on her legs, signs of strangulation on her neck and injuries to the head. Such wickedness!. All we want is justice for”
“Yes. Comfort has been buried and gone but the pains in our hearts is still 100% present. I cannot even begin to describe how this affected our mental state. I still can’t leave the house. There’s no interest… No strength. My mum is still being pressured to eat something,” she wrote.
