Gunmen Kidnap Benue Commissioner, Three Others

It was gathered that the four men were returning from a church service in Otukpo on Sunday when gunmen attacked and kidnapped them along David Marks Farm, after Akpa Otobi while on their way to Utonkon in Ado Local Government Area of the state.

The commissioner was said to have attended a Church programme, where Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial district, dedicated his newly inaugurated Campaign Council to God at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Otukpo.

They were returning to his village in NDEKMA, Utonkon District of Ado LGA after the Church programme when the gunmen struck and whisked them away at about 8:45 pm on Sunday.

The Hilux van the victim was traveling in has been recovered by the Police in Otukpo, and rescue efforts have begun but no contact has been established with the kidnappers.

KanyiDaily had also reported that 18 people including children were killed by Fulani herdsmen who attacked four different communities in Guma LGA of Benue State.
