DSS Guns Down Jail Breaker, Gang Leader In Kogi, Recovers Arms, Charms

The Department of State Services (DSS) has killed a one-time jailbreaker and notorious gang leader, Kabir Bala, popularly known as “Okwo” in Ejule, Ofu LGA of Kogi State.

Okwo was killed in a joint operation by the DSS, the Nigerian army, and police in the early hours of Thursday, according to a statement issued by the secret police spokesman, Peter Afunanya on Thursday night.

He was gunned down after his hideout was raided when he and his gang members engaged the troops in a gun duel during which he was neutralised.

“Others, however, fled the area,” the statement reads in part.

Items recovered at the scene were one AK47 rifle with three (3) fully loaded magazines, six (6) locally fabricated weapons, two (2) phones, and charms.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the Oyo State Police Command on Thursday, invited skit maker, Abdullahi Maruf Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy in connection with a prank video that involved a minor.

In the prank involving a minor, the skit maker was seen asking a visibly scared little girl of about 8 years to tell him the colour of his private part.

The video has been drawing massive condemnation on social media.
