Despite the benevolent announcement, a certain individual, referred to as Seun Dudu on Twitter, dismissed the sincerity of Davido’s donation, labeling it as “eye service.”
The Twitter user likened the artist to a character from the movie. He wrote: “This guy reminds me of that movie ‘She must be obeyed. Oju Aiye sha.”
Unfazed by the criticism, Davido responded on Wednesday by quoting the critic’s post and sharing a screenshot as evidence of the transaction.
The displayed account balance further validated the singer’s commitment, showing a total of N306,420,973.
“Foundation account credited… More details to follow soon,” Davido assured, reinforcing the authenticity of his philanthropic contribution.
