Donald Trump And Family Arrive In Washington For His Inauguration Celebrations [Video]

Donald Trump, the incoming president of the United States, arrived in Washington on the evening of January 18, 2025, to kick off celebrations ahead of his inauguration on Monday.

Trump traveled on an Air Force plane provided by outgoing President Joe Biden, flying from Palm Beach, Florida, where he had been preparing for the transition after his victory in the November election over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Donald Trump was accompanied by his wife Melania, their youngest child Baron, his daughter Ivanka, and her husband Jared Kushner.

After landing at Dulles Airport in Virginia, Trump headed to his golf club in Sterling, just outside Washington.

The 78-year-old president-elect is set to hold a rally with supporters at the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington on Sunday, the day before his inauguration. He will also attend a post-inauguration event on Monday afternoon.

Due to bad weather forecasts, Trump decided to move the inauguration ceremonies from the west front of the U.S. Capitol to the Capitol Rotunda. The traditional parade down Pennsylvania Avenue will also be held at the Capital One Arena.

Trump is scheduled to be sworn in at 12 p.m. ET (1700 GMT) inside the Capitol Rotunda, where he will deliver his inaugural address, setting the tone for his upcoming term.
