2face Idibia’s Family Petitions DSS, Declares Him Missing After Proposal To Natasha Osawaru

The family of Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has raised concerns over his sudden disappearance, prompting them to seek the intervention of the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to a petition filed by the family’s legal representatives, Anuge, Anuge & Co., they fear that 2Face may be missing, as they have been unable to reach him for days.

KanyiDaily recalls that 2Face recently initiated divorce proceedings with his wife, Annie Idibia, and proposed to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru while the process was still underway.

On Thursday night, the singer’s mother, Rose Idibia, made a public appeal in a viral video, pleading with Nigerians to urge Natasha to “release” her son.

In a letter dated February 7, the Idibia family revealed that frantic efforts to contact 2face have failed, prompting them to file a petition with the DSS.

The petition revealed that 2Face left his residence early on February 10 for what seemed to be a routine morning walk but never returned.

It reads, “We are solicitors to the Idibia family, acting on their firm instructions to seek your urgent intervention regarding the disappearance of Mr. Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba. Our clients believe he may have been missing since February 10, 2025.”

Attempts by his family, staff, and record label to reach him have been unsuccessful, deepening concerns about his safety.

According to the petition, unusual activity on his social media accounts has raised alarms among the family members.

Several close associates reportedly received messages asking for financial assistance, an unusual request for someone as financially stable as 2Face.

This has fueled fears that his identity may have been compromised or that he might be held against his will.

“The implications of this situation are grave, and the possibility of foul play cannot be ignored. Given his status as a responsible family man and a dedicated artist, his prolonged silence is deeply concerning,” the letter stated.

The Idibia family has urged the DSS to act swiftly in locating 2Face, emphasizing that his disappearance has left them distressed and put his music career in jeopardy.
