During a press briefing on Wednesday, the organisers revealed that this season’s winner will walk away with N150 million, the biggest cash prize the show has offered since it first began in 2006.
Media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as host for the upcoming season, which will launch with a double premiere on July 26 and 27.
Speaking at the event, Ebuka shared some stats about the show’s journey so far.
According to him, BBNaija has featured 197 housemates over the course of nine seasons and aired for a total of 709 days.
The media personality noted that since its inception, winners have received a total of N637 million in prize money.
He also reflected on last year’s season, themed ‘No Loose Guard,’ where contestants entered the house in pairs and later competed individually.
That season ended with Kellyrae winning the N100 million grand prize, making him the first married housemate to ever win the show.
For the 2025 edition, the organisers brought back in-person auditions, which took place from May 16 to 18.
