American singer and actress Tamar Braxton has opened up about her frustration with being single at 48, saying it is not by choice but because she has not found the right partner.

Speaking during a recent interview on WBLS FM, Tamar Braxton explained that she is intentional about who she dates and is not willing to settle.
The entertainer described herself as someone built for marriage, not casual relationships, and said she is simply looking for a good man.
According to her, most of the men she has met recently do not meet her expectations, even though she remains hopeful that the right person will come along.
“I am a wife. I am not a streetwalker. I am upset that I am still single. What’s going on?” Tamar asked.
“I think the only reason I am still single is that I haven’t met the right guy. I accept only premium men, but lately I have been meeting only regular ones. All I want is a good man. That’s my type.
“…I know there is someone out there for me, and I pray for him all the time. I would say, ‘Thank you, God, for bringing him to me.’ He is amazing, beautiful, wonderful, generous, and kind.”
The singer also acknowledged that her strong, confident personality may have discouraged some men from approaching her.
She explained that she can sometimes come across as intimidating, which may make some men feel unsure about whether they measure up to her standards.
“Yes, my personally may come off as intimidating and some men may not have the confidence of approaching me because they may be thinking that they can’t meet my standards.
“But right now, I am trying to ditch being an alpha female and be more soft. I am working on it everyday,” she added.
The singer has been married twice. Her first marriage to Darrell “Delite” Allamby in 2001 ended in divorce two years later.
She later married music executive Vincent Herbert in 2008, and they have a son together. Their marriage ended in 2017 due to irreconcilable differences.
In 2018, Braxton began dating Nigerian financial consultant David Adefeso. Their relationship ended in 2020 following a public and messy breakup.
Adefeso obtained a restraining order against her, accusing her of domestic violence, while Braxton accused him of threatening her life during an argument.
KanyiDaily recalls that Tamar Braxton claimed that a man is gay if he lies with a woman for days, but won’t have sex with her.
