Woman Allegedly Stabs Husband To Death Seven Months After Wedding In Abia

A woman identified as Serah Innocent has allegedly stabbed her husband, Innocent Nwaoji, to death in Umuokereke Ngwa, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.

The incident reportedly happened on Saturday night, August 8, less than eight months after the couple held their white wedding.

Details about what led to the incident are still unclear, but sources in the community said Nwaoji was allegedly stabbed while he was asleep.

A resident, David Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, said the news came as a shock to people in the area.

According to him, residents were not aware of any serious disagreement between the couple before the incident.

Amaraizu said the woman had been arrested and was being held by the police, while the deceased’s remains had been taken to a morgue.

“We are not aware of any disagreement between the couple before the incident. The woman has been arrested and is currently in police custody, while the deceased’s body had been deposited at a morgue,” he said.

KanyiDaily also reported that Nigerian woman, Esther Okereke, accused her husband, Justice Okereke Ezechimere, of plotting to kill her so he can take control of her house and other assets in Imo State.
