Young Lady Killed Her Son, Dumped His Remains In Her Handbag, Told Police He Was Kidnapped [Photos]

A 24-year-old New Jersey mum, Nakira Griner, killed her toddler son because he wouldn’t eat or listen to her, then cut up and burned his body before hiding his remains in her purse bag – afterward told the police that he’d been kidnapped.

The police in New Jersey have charged Nakira Griner with murder after they found some of the child’s body in her handbag. She confessed to the police that she fatally struck her 23-month-old boy named Daniel Jr because he wouldn’t eat or listen, then dismembered his body and reported him kidnapped to cover up the murder.

According to Daily Post, Grinner initially reported that her son had been violently abducted just after 6.30pm Friday. So a response team began a search aided by city and state police, prosecutors, and bloodhounds from New Jersey State Park Police.

Griner told police responding to the abduction report that a stranger had attacked her while she was walking with her toddler in a stroller and her infant son strapped to her chest along Atlantic Street.

According to Griner, her assailant kicked her and she fell to the ground as the attacker continued to kick her in the head and right side. When she finally regained herself and looked up, the stroller and Daniel was gone.

However, Griner’s story began to change during subsequent interviews with the police after officers found the stroller, containing only a pair of red sneakers, a few blocks away.

The 24-year-old also failed a polygraph test (a lie detector test) with New Jersey State Police which prompted a response team aided by city and state police to search her house at Woodland Drive.

The child’s burned and dismembered remains were later found in a purse and garbage bags at around 3 am on Saturday, buried under a shed in the yard of Griner’s home.

When questioned by the police, Griner admitted that she hit her son Daniel because he wouldn’t ‘eat nor listen to her’.

The complaint said Griner admitted striking the child so hard that she left bruises on his face and also said he fell down a flight of stairs. After striking the child, she didn’t call for help, but placed him in a stroller and left him alone.

The investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, Griner is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday for a detention hearing.
