Police Arrests Vulcanizer For Stealing His Female Customer’s Pants For Money Rituals In Ogun

The suspect had gone to render a home service to the female customer on Sunday when he stole the pants.

Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old vulcaniser, Dele Ope, for allegedly stealing the underwear of his female customer in order to use it for money rituals.

The command spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspect had gone to render a home service to the female customer on Sunday when he stole the pants.

He was arrested on Sunday after the woman reported at Warewa division that she invited the suspect to her home to fix her car tires.

The woman explained to the police that after the vulcaniser fixed her tires and left, she noticed that she could no longer find her pant which was spread on a rope within the compound.

“After fixing the tyre and left, she discovered that her pant that was spread on a rope within the compound has been missing”.

“Since the vulcaniser was the only person who came to the compound, she went round in search of him but he is nowhere to be found”.

“Upon the report, the DPO, Warewa division, SP Folake Afeniforo detailed detectives to the area where the suspect was traced and arrested. His house was quickly searched and the woman’s pant was recovered there.

“On interrogation, the suspect confessed stolen (sic) the pant with the intention of taking it to an herberlist for money making ritual,” Mr Oyeyemi said.

The spokesperson said the commissioner of police, Kenneth Ebrimson, has ordered that the suspect be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

KanyiDaily had reported how a young man was caught trying to sell stolen female panties to ritualists for the sum of N300,000 in Delta State.
