The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has declared in an online campaign to redeem their image that they are not a “collection of angels”.
This is coming following the nationwide #EndSARS protests against the SARS police tactical unit over its brutality, illegal arrest, extortion, extra-judicial killings, among others.
In a bid to rebuild trust with Nigerian citizens, the NPF has posted a flyer on its Twitter page, saying they are not angels, but are trying to serve people better.
“We are not a collection of angels, but we are doing our best to serve you better” the message read.
KanyiDaily recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari had assured Nigerians that the disbandment of the SARS police unit was the first step to “extensive police reforms”.
