A former Nigerian presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, said he would have suid Cable News Network (CNN) if its documentary had instigated or sponsored the people of Nigeria against its government.
KanyiDaily recalls that CNN had released its findings from an independent investigation carried out on the shooting incident involving the Nigerian Army and peaceful #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate.
The video documentary which is currently circulating on the social media shows Nigerian soldiers shooting directly at #EndSARS protesters despite series of denials by the Nigerian authorities.
Reacting on his Twitter page, Garba said he would have sued CNN if their recent investigative report about the Lekki shooting had instigated crisis between the Nigerian Government and its citizens.
The politician explained that CNN was professional in their report which he claimed is ‘investigative and not conclusive’. He wrote:
“I would have sued CNN if they instigated or sponsored people of Nigeria against its Govt. But one thing is clear. CNN is doing its job: Investigative & not “Conclusive” reporting.
“Unlike Jack who interfered directly. While you enjoy the fleet, wait for response from authorities”.
KanyiDaily recalls that Adamu Garba had filed a $1 billion lawsuit against Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, for supporting the #EndSARS protest against the extrajudicial activities of the Nigerian Police Force.
