US President Donald Trump Banned From Facebook And Instagram Indefinitely

Facebook and Instagram will ban President Donald Trump’s accounts for the remainder of his tenure in office.

On Wednesday, Twitter and Facebook temporarily blocked President Trump’s accounts after his supporters stormed the Capitol building to protest the election.

KanyiDaily had reported how Donald Trump’s loyal supporters storm US Capitol Hill to protest against Joe Biden election as president.

In a blog post on Thursday, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg wrote:

“We believe the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great.

“Therefore, we are extending the block we have placed on his Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete.

“Facebook had determined that Trump’s recent posts were “likely” intended to escalate the violence rather than the opposite.

“Trump has shown he intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor, Joe Biden.”

Meanwhile, an unidentified woman was reported dead after being shot during invasion of US Capitol Hill by Trump’s supporters.
