Siraj Ibrahim Tanko won the APC ticket for the Bauchi North Senatorial seat after defeating other aspirants, including the incumbent Senator, Adamu Bulkachuwa, who garnered zero vote.

while another son of the CJN, Sani Ibrahim Tanko clinched the PDP ticket for the House of Representatives seat for Shira Giafe Federal Constituency.

Unlike his brother, Sani was elected unopposed during the primaries.
