Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has condoled the families and loved ones of those affected by the chemical explosion at the popular Onitsha Chemical market, Anambra State.

Atiku Reacts To Onitsha Chemical Market Fire

Kanyi Daily had earlier reported that many people were injured, others killed and property worth millions destroyed in the inferno, which began at about 12:10 pm on Tuesday when the chemicals stored in the shops started exploding one after another.

Taking to his Twitter handle on Tuesday night, Atiku said on behalf of his family and team, he expresses his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and the government and people of Anambra State.

He urged the government to ensure quick response to such situations to not only forestall such occurrences but also prevent loss of lives and properties.

He wrote, “My thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of those affected by the reported chemical explosion in the popular Ogbo Ogwu International Market in Onitsha Anambra State.

“On behalf of my family and team, I express my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and the government and people of Anambra State.

“I urge for government to ensure quick response to such situations to not only forestall such occurrences but also prevent loss of lives and properties.”

Meanwhile, Atiku had condoled with Davido, and Chioma over their son, Ifeanyi’s death.
