Election 2023: Catholic Priest Hyacinth Alia Leads In Benue Governorship Race

INEC has so far released results for 11 out of the 23 local government areas in the state.

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia is coasting to victory following his lead in the governorship race following results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In the released results, Hyacinth Alia is leading in eight local government areas by a wide margin while the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Titus Uba, is leading in three LGAs

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it intercepted three kilograms of heroin in a false bottom concealment in a travelling bag on Monday at the Lagos State airport.

NDLEA stated this on its official Twitter handle on Sunday.
