I Auditioned For BBNaija 5 Times Before Embarking On ‘Cook-A-Thorn’ – Hilda Baci [Video]

Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, has opened up about her quest for fame and stardom.

Speaking on Cool FM Nigeria’s program, The Big Friday Show, which is hosted by reality star Tacha, Hilda Baci revealed that she attempted to secure a spot on the Big Brother Naija reality show five times, but her endeavors didn’t result in selection.

The chef, who recently bagged the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, explained that she had planned to leverage the BBNaija reality show’s platform to attain fame before embarking on the cook-a-thon challenge.

She said, “I actually tried to get on Big Brother [Naija] for a while. I think I auditioned about four or five times.

“The plan for the cook-a-thorn was still in the pipeline, so my goal was to go to Big Brother and then come out and do the cook-a-thorn.”
