Phoenix also announced plans to start a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the man’s medical treatment.

His statement followed a viral video featuring a man, identified as Fatai Odunsi, who claims to be Asake’s father.

In the video, Odunsi introduced himself and pleaded for help, saying: “Good day, everyone. I am the biological father of Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake.

“The last time I saw him was in March 2022, when my illness began. If I call Asake, he doesn’t pick up. Please help me; I need your assistance.”

Asake has yet to address the allegations, but Phoenix has voiced his frustration, stating that he plans to meet with Odunsi to understand the situation better.

In a series of social media posts, Phoenix criticized Asake’s alleged actions and urged him to take responsibility.

He insisted that if the singer failed to help his father, others would step in to support him via GoFundMe.

Phoenix wrote: “One by one, God will reveal who they truly are. These are no longer my words. Go and pick up your father. We don’t care if he left when you were a child. In fact, I believe that man over anything you might say.”

“If you don’t, we will take on your responsibilities for you and conduct a full interview with him to reveal the truth the public deserves to know.”

The ex-manager also suggested that Asake should hire a public relations expert to issue a statement on the matter.

He wrote, “You are a public figure. Get a PR girl to put a statement together—or I will. P.S.: PR girl is a vibe. I’d definitely date her; she has a good heart but keeps bad company.”

Asake’s ex-manager then called on people to help locate Odunsi so he could receive medical assistance.

“Operation GoFundMe for your father. Please help us locate the old man. His son refuses to listen and abandons those who once helped him.”

“Even if they left you, should you act like them when God has blessed you beyond your wildest dreams? A man’s heart reveals everything. Please, let’s find this father and get him the help he needs. These children have audacity,” he added.

His posts quickly drew reactions, with many social media users weighing in on the controversy.
