The announcement was made in a statement on Wednesday by Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF).
Adeladan Olarinre will represent Oyo State, while Mukhtar Muhammed will serve as the permanent secretary for the North-West geopolitical zone.
According to Olotu, the selection process was rigorous and transparent, aligning with the administration’s commitment to merit, excellence, and competence in the civil service.
“The new permanent secretaries are urged to bring wealth of their experiences and expertise to their roles, which will further strengthen the delivery of public services and support the government’s development agenda,” she stated.
In December 2024, the federal government appointed eight permanent secretaries from various states, including Abia, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Kebbi, Rivers, and Kaduna, to fill vacancies.
This followed an earlier round of appointments in June 2024, covering Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, and the Southeast and South-South regions.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, commended President Tinubu for maintaining transparency and professionalism in the civil service.
She emphasized that the appointments reflect the administration’s commitment to building an efficient and results-driven public sector that serves Nigerians effectively.
KanyiDaily recalls that President Bola Tinubu also appointed Shamsedeen Babatunde Ogunjimi as the new Accountant General of the Federation (AGF).
