U.S May Deploy Troops Or Carry Out Air Strikes In Nigeria – Trump

U.S President Donald Trump has said he may authorize air strikes or send troops to Nigeria as part of his plan to “wipe out Islamic terrorists targeting Christians” in the country.

KanyiDaily recalls that Trump described Nigeria as a “country of particular concern,” accusing it of allowing widespread killings of Christians.

He warned the Nigerian government to “act quickly” or risk losing all forms of U.S. aid and support.

He also hinted at possible military action, saying any response would be “fast, vicious and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs that attack our cherished Christians”.

Speaking to reporters before boarding Air Force One on Sunday, Trump said the U.S. could no longer ignore what he called “the slaughter of Christians” in Nigeria.

When asked if he was considering ground troops or air strikes, Trump replied, “Yes, there could be,” stressing that the violence against Christians was “at record levels.”

They are killing record numbers of Christians in Nigeria. It’s also bad in other countries, you know that.

“They are killing Christians in very large numbers. We are not going to allow that to happen,” the US president said.

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has dismissed U.S. claims of a Christian genocide, saying the reports are exaggerated and not reflective of the situation in Nigeria.
