Makinde, Fayemi, Oyinlola Visit Obasanjo To Discuss 2027 Elections
Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, joined former Ekiti State governor Kayode Fayemi and former Osun State governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola for a meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

This comes as political activities ahead of the 2027 general election continue to gather momentum.
Makinde shared details of the visit in a brief Facebook post on Sunday, saying they met Obasanjo at his residence to discuss important national matters ahead of the next election.
He wrote: “Earlier today, we visited Baba, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR in Abeokuta.
“Our discussions centred on important national issues in view of the upcoming general election.
“We appreciate Baba for his wise counsel at this crucial time in our nation’s history.”

The visit comes months after Governor Seyi Makinde announced his plan to run for president in the 2027 election.
