The co-founder and CEO of social media service Twitter, Jack Dorsey, is currently in Nigeria for a business visit.

Dorsey took to his verified Twitter handle to announce his arrival on Thursday evening, saying: “So grateful to be finally in Nigeria.”

It is believed that Jack Dorsey will be in Africa for the whole of November to meet with local entrepreneurs in the continent. Maybe, he might celebrate his birthday in Nigeria. (his birthday is on November 19).

Dorsey intends to meet with some Nigerian entrepreneurs behind closed doors and might have plans to introduce Square to entrepreneurs and the African market. It is also believed that he will be visiting the Lagos-based Co-Creation Hub.

He uploaded a photo of dinner with some Nigerian popular faces like Toolz Oniru, Dr Joe Abah, Tayo Oviosu (Paga CEO), Victor Asemota and a few others.

Toolz Oniru also took to her Instagram to gush over meeting one of the world’s richest billionaires. She said: Definitely starstruck! At the welcome dinner for Jack Dorsey (CEO Twitter)

In October, Dorsey had disclosed his plans to visit four African nations; Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa in November.

“Headed to Africa for all of November! Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa. Going to spend a lot of time with entrepreneurs, including @betelhem_dessie @noelkudu @GETNETASEFFA,” he had written.

Dorsey’s visit to Nigeria also comes about three years after Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook — another major tech giant — graced Africa’s most populous nation with his presence.
