According to Business Insider, shares of Disney stock currently go for roughly $115. Before the coronavirus pandemic, shares were in the $140-$150 range, though they have slowly started to climb back up again.

It’s unclear how many shares Gianna received from Streisand. However, a recent CNBC report calculated that an investment of $1,000 in Disney 10 years ago would be worth more than $4,600 as of February 2020 for a total return of around 370 percent.

KanyiDaily had also reported last week that Gianna Floyd was granted a full-ride scholarship to Texas Southern University in Houston should she choose to attend.

Gianna’s 46-year-old father, George Floyd was killed on May 25, 2020, after a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, pinned him to the ground by pressing his knee into Floyd’s neck for over eight minutes as the black man repeatedly said, “I can’t breathe.”

Floyd’s death set off worldwide protests with a call for an end to police violence against black citizens and for justice to be duly served to the four former Minneapolis officers involved in killing the 46-year-old man.

Chauvin, who is facing charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter in Floyd’s death, has his bail set at $1.25m in first court appearance.

The other three officers involved in his death, Tou Thao, Thomas Lane and J Alexander Kueng have all been charged with aiding and abetting in the crime.

Floyd’s funeral was filled with family members, other families who lost loved ones to police violence, and public figures. They called for racial justice and honored his life.
