Lagos State Police Command has intercepted a 40-foot container filled with drugs suspected to be Tramadol and codeine in Apapa Area of the state.
According to Channels TV, the container was intercepted on water and taken to a bonded terminal in Apapa on Thursday.
A team of officers from Customs and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) joined the Area B Commander, Olasoji Akinbayo, on Thursday for inspection.
The police said the intercepted container would be handed over to appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
KanyiDaily had reported how a 14-year-old boy was seen laying helplessly on the road after he slumped due to overdose of drugs suspected to be tramadol in Jos, Plateau State.
