Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has hailed supporters of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.
Rudeboy, who is also the second half of Nigerian music group, P-Square, said as supporters of Obi, they can never be deterred by external forces trying to suppress them.
He stated this on his verified twitter handle on Saturday evening, September 17.
According to him, the more these forces try to stop them, the more stronger they become.
He wrote, “Shout out to all #Obidients 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 the more they try to stop the movement the more we are getting stronger ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 then go hear word #Obidatti2023.”
Rudeboy, together with his twin brother, Peter Okoye, better known as Mr. P are staunch supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate.
The singer’s reaction may not be unconnected to the action of police against supporters of Obi on Saturday in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
Kanyi Daily had reported that Obi’s supporters known as Obidient had gathered on Saturday at the Pastoral Centre of the Catholic Church, Abakaliki, for the rally when police stormed the area and dispersed them with teargas.
