Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable, has publicly begged music star Davido for a musical collaboration.
Portable took to his Instagram handle on Monday night to ask for a feature in his song and also shared a screenshot of his chat with Davido.
He tagged Davido and wrote, “#davido 👑 Ogun Owo Music 🎶 industry ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Carry Me Trabaye ✈️✈️✈️ Bless me with one verse 🎵 Who Go Help You No Go Stress You 🙏🙏🙏 I Gat Chorus ✍🏻 ZAZUU 🔌 IKA OF AFRICA 🌎 Dr ZEH Nation many many inspiration 💯💯💯”
Responding to this in the chat Portable shared, Davido hailed him saying, ”Zazuuu Zazuuu.’’
Portable’s plea comes several months after he publicly apologised to Davido, after insulting the “unavailable” crooner on the Internet following events during last year’s Osun governorship election.
Portable had thrown jabs at Davido, in regards to the gubernatorial election in Osun state where they had both supported different sides of the party.
While Portable supported and endorsed the then-incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Davido threw his weight behind his Uncle, Ademola Adeleke who later won the poll under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In the sight of their political differences, Davido unfollowed Portable on Instagram which made the Zazoo artiste diss Davido online via his Instagram account.
Portable, speaking in the Yoruba language said he wasn’t born into a wealthy family but he had made his father a wealthy man, unlike Davido, whose father is one of the richest men in the country.
After the public apology, Davido in September last year, followed Portable, signalling an end to the beef.
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya has gifted a female fan who winked at him at the recent Davido “Timeless” concert in Lagos, an iPhone.
