Nigerian singer, B-Red has revealed that his superstar cousin, Davido, used to be a backup singer until he advises him to pursue a career in music.

B-Red, who is the son of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, disclosed this while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of Quincy Jonze’s Echoo Room podcast.

He shed light on the early stages of Davido’s musical career and highlighted the support and guidance they received from their cousin, M-Pizzy, who was a popular artist at that time.

The singer revealed that he was the one who advised Davido to start singing because he was “too good” to be doing backups for ther artists.

B-Red said, “He [Davido] was so good. Na me first tell David, omo, start singing.

“Shoutout to my cousin, M-Pizzy; he is still a good artist. We started pushing him [M-Pizzy] first. So one day, David was always doing backups, and I said, David, M-Pizzy is good, but you too, you are good oh, start singing na.

“David said, are you serious? I said, yes! And he started singing. So, it was my cousin, M-Pizzy that actually showed us the way. Shoutout to M-Pizzy too.”

KanyiDaily recalls that B-Red had taken to social media to reveal how he suffered some years ago despite having a billionaire uncle and millionaire dad, Ademola Adeleke.
