Nigeria Will Continue To Exist Despite Agitations By 'Enemies' Of The Country - Obasanjo

According to him, his classmates believed he was insane when he said that.

Obasanjo, who is Nigeria’s two-term civilian ruler and former military head of state, said this in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, published on Saturday.

Giving the reason for his friend’s remark about him joining the army, he said that the army was not an attractive place to be at the time he joined.

He said, “I went to school with some classmates and when I decided I would join the army, some of my classmates said I had gone mad. And in a way, you could agree with them. And at that point in time, the army is not a glamorous place to be then.”
