Nigerian entrepreneur Nkechi Harry-Ngonadi has voiced concern about a popular fashion stylist named Ejiro, who has gone missing after joining a prayer group on Instagram.

In a series of Instagram posts, Nkechi explained that Ejiro, who runs the fashion brand @stylebyejiro, has not been seen or heard from in over two weeks.
Efforts to reach the stylist by phone or messages have failed, raising serious fears about her safety.
According to Nkechi, Ejiro joined an Instagram prayer group and soon after, began making drastic life changes.
She reportedly shut down her successful business, sold her belongings – including her car and gold jewelry—and vanished without leaving any clues.
Nkechi claimed that the prayer group had influenced Ejiro to isolate herself from loved ones and give them her earnings as a “seed offering.”
“Where is Ejiro? CEO @stylebyejiro?” Nkechi wrote in one of her posts.
“Few weeks ago, my heart was troubled about two amazing ladies who were close to me and suddenly disappeared, and one of them is Ejiro. I have been praying intensely for both ladies, and my heart wasn’t at rest concerning Ejiro, especially.
“I tried calling and sending messages but to no avail. I reached out to her family, and what I heard was troubling, but I decided to carry out my personal investigations.
“I was told she joined a prayer group here on social media and ever since she joined them Ejiro’s life and business went down hill until she closed up completely.
“Sold everything she owns and disappeared in thin air. 2 weeks ago was her birthday, and like previous birthdays, I called to pray with her, I haven’t been able to reach her till date.
“Please, anyone with any vital information should reach out to me because I intend to take this up legally. Ejiro needs help. Please pray for her.”
She also accused the group of brainwashing Ejiro, saying the leader told her that God wanted to use her, and persuaded her to give up everything she owned.
“Ejiro is like a daughter to me, whom I cherish a lot. Ejiro is a sweet, kind soul and doesn’t deserve this. She joined a prayer group here on IG and was brainwashed,” Nkechi wrote.
“The convener told her God wants to use her and asked her to close down her shop that was doing very well. She sold everything in her shop and gave the money to the group as a seed. She sold all her gold, car, and gave the money to them.
“I am told that the prayer group brainwashed her and turned her against her family and friends, so they could isolate her. Till now, nobody knows where she is—dead or alive.
“We are looking for those with information on where we can locate the camp she was taken to. This matter has been directed to the right authorities. Ejiro needs our help at this time. She needs our prayers.”
To make matters worse, Nkechi said the woman leading the prayer group—identified as Joy Solomon—has since disappeared from social media, deleting her account and dissolving the group.
Other people have since reached out to Nkechi with similar stories of missing relatives tied to the same group.
Ejiro’s brother, Ovie Daniels, also shared his perspective in a video, revealing that Ejiro’s behavior changed after she joined the group, and she became secretive and distant.
Despite having a thriving fashion business with high-profile clients, she shut it down abruptly and refused any help from family, even when she couldn’t afford rent.
“Later, she said she was closing her business, and if you knew her business, she was doing well. She sewed clothes for prominent people, she was really making good money, and she said she was going to shut down the business,” Ovie said.
“I remember trying to discourage her, you don’t have to shut down this business. If you are tired and the business has been stressing you, there are better ways to go about it.
“Like a joke, she sold the whole thing, closed it down, and she was at home doing nothing for over 6 months. We were worried, and we were like something is off, and when her rent was due and she could not renew, and she said she was going to move out of the place.
“We asked if she really needed to move out; we even offered to pay the rent, but at that point, she started shutting us out of it.
“I was at my own place in Abuja, but I noticed that she did not even tell us when she was moving out, because I even offered to help her move out. She just told us that she had moved out, she was staying with a friend and she would sort herself out.
“That she was trying to have time with God, and he will tell her what to do next, and I was like there is something off here.
“How can God tell you to close down your business, now you cannot pay your rent, and now you are waiting for God to tell you the next thing to do. I said, truly, God made some moves like that in the Bible, but there was a purpose in everything.”
The case has now been brought to the attention of authorities, and Nkechi is urging anyone with helpful information to come forward. She also asked the public to pray for Ejiro’s safety.
