President Bola Tinubu has sent birthday wishes to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, who turned 58 on December 13.

In a statement on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised Wike for his strong sense of purpose, bold leadership style, and years of service to the country.
Tinubu described the former Rivers State governor as a fearless achiever who pushes through challenges and delivers results.
He pointed to Wike’s role in reshaping Abuja, especially through his drive to upgrade infrastructure across the capital.
The President also highlighted Wike’s role in resolving the long-standing delay on the Apo–Karshi Road project, which had stalled for 14 years before recent progress was made.
Commending his determination and hands-on approach, Tinubu thanked the minister for consistently completing major projects and introducing reforms that are making a visible impact.
He said Wike has stood out as one of the top performers in his cabinet, noting that his reputation as “Mr. Project” is evident in the scale of development now seen in the Federal Capital Territory, not just in Rivers State.
Tinubu also applauded Wike for supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda despite being a member of a different political party, and wished him continued success and personal fulfillment.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet — an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital like never before and proving that his ‘Mr. Project’ moniker extends beyond his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu said.
“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party, and wish him continued strength and fulfillment as he marks another year in his life journey.”
The President further wished the FCT minister good health, renewed energy, and even greater achievements as he continues his work in service to the nation.
KanyiDaily recalls that Nyesom Wike recently renamed the newly renovated Abuja International Conference Centre in honour of President Bola Tinubu.
