Mr Eazi And Temi Otedola Releases 99 Photos Of Their Wedding In Three Countries

Temi Otedola, a Nigerian actress and daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, has released photos from her wedding to popular singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known as Mr Eazi.

KanyiDaily recalls that Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Iceland this past August.

The couple first went public with their engagement in April 2022, when Temi posted a video of Mr Eazi proposing to her on Instagram, and they both hinted that their wedding would be intimate.

On Friday, Temi, now officially Temiloluwa Ajibade, updated her surname on social media and shared a post captioned, “Mr and Mrs Ajibade. Now on voguemagazine.”

Reports confirm that the couple actually celebrated their union in three different countries. The first was in Monaco on May 9, a date chosen to honor the birthday of Mr Eazi’s late mother.

In July, they held a traditional Yoruba wedding at the Otedola family home in Dubai. Finally, they wrapped up the celebrations in August with a white wedding in Iceland.

Vogue Magazine published 99 photos from the wedding ceremonies and recounted the couple’s love story.

According to Vague, the couple met on a chilly London evening in January 2017 when Mr Eazi visited the Tate Club to watch Temi’s sister, Florence (DJ Cuppy), perform. Five years later, he proposed.

In an interview with The Office Magazine, Mr Eazi explained how Nigerian traditions shaped their celebrations.

He described how the Dubai ceremony mirrored a typical Lagos wedding with Yoruba food, a traditional officiant known as the Alaga, King Sunny Ade performing live, and everyone dressed in Yoruba attire.

“We brought Nigeria to Dubai in Temi’s family home, all the food, the officiant (the Alaga), the attire of all the staff, guest and performers was all traditional Yoruba attire, the food was all Naija food, and the band was the legendary King Sunny Ade.

“Our attires were both Yoruba wedding attire and we had one that was Iseleuku wedding attire as an ode to my late mum’s Ibo heritage, the entire run of events stayed the same as if it were in Lagos and it truly felt like Lagos in Dubai,” he was quoted as saying.

The singer added that the weddings have sparked new inspiration for his music, saying he now wants to create more love songs and acoustic pieces that can be performed at Nigerian weddings.

“I wanna make more love songs, stripped back acoustic songs that I could perform live at future Nigerian weddings,” he said.

Recalling special memories, Mr Eazi said it felt surreal to marry Temi Otedola in Dubai surrounded by loved ones.

He remembered Temi calling him by all his names, including the one his mother used to use, and described a moving moment when, just as Temi walked into the church to his mother’s favorite hymn, the weather shifted from cloudy to sunny.

The singer said, “It was an out of body experience seeing Temi and I get married in Dubai in the presence of our close friends and family and I can’t forget when she was told to describe me and she called all my names including the special name my mum loved to call me.

“Also, before she walked into the church, there was a moment the organist played my mum’s favourite hymn and as she walked in a cloudy day started to turn sunny, this was so special.”
