U.K. music group, Little Mix, has taken to their Instagram to set the records straight after Cardi B dragged them into her fight with Nicki Minaj when she claimed she had turned down some of the deals Nicki was recently offered, including collaborating with them on “Woman Like Me”.
In case you missed how the latest fight all started: Nicki Minaj was on her Beats 1 Queen Radio Show, where she made several allegations against Cardi B. This immediately sparked a response from Cardi B, who took to her Instagram page to share several videos with her version of the story. Read the report HERE.
In one clip, Cardi B fumed at the Nicki Minaj for claiming she was trying to ‘stop her bags’ and make sure other artists didn’t work with her.
Cardi B said:
‘You’re out here saying that I’m trying to stop your bag, right? But I’m actually helping you get a bag,’ she claimed in a video shared with her 34.6million followers.
‘That Diesel deal that you got, yeah that came to me first and I had to decline it because I’m already working with fashion brands. Which y’all are gonna see because there’s more than Fashion Nova.
‘Then, that Woman Like Me record… Yeah I had to decline it because I’m doing a lot of pop records so I can’t over exaggerate myself but that came to me first.
‘And then they gave it to you.’
Well, the U.K. singing group, Little Mix has shut that claims down, and with receipts to back it up.
“We just want to clarify…Nicki was approached first (swipe for date) ? #WomanLikeMe ,” said the statement shared on their Instagram, adding, “Sorry Cardi hun, but this is the tea. We’ve always wanted the queen.”
Cardi has yet to respond as at press time.
