Armed men suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly killed a man (name withheld) in Ushafa, a community in Bwari Area Council of the FCT, Abuja, and abducted members of his family.

The incident happened at Zone D area of Ushafa around 11 pm on Tuesday.

A source who preferred anonymity said the armed men, numbering about 15 stormed the man’s house with sporadic shootings and abducted him and members of his family.

According to the source, while the armed men were walking them out, the man started shouting and calling for assistance from members of the community.

“I think it was the shouts by the man that made the armed men shoot him and left with his family members,” the source said.

The hoodlums were dressed in pullovers and had big touch lights to their foreheads like hunters.”

The source further disclosed that after the hoodlums disappeared into the forest and
and the adjoining mountains in the area, the wife of the man was then released after about an hour while two of her kids were held behind.

When contacted, the Spokesperson of the FCT police command, Josephine Adeh said she needs to confirm with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) first.

At the time of filing this report, she is yet to get back.
